Amazing Success story #1 – Moziah Bridges
“My friends say that I inspire them to do what they dream, to do what they love.” – Moziah Bridges.
There must be something in the water because thirteen year old Moziah Bridges is the CEO of a $200 million business. Let’s just say that the kids in America take entrepreneurial days very seriously.
The idea of Mo’s Bows started tickling his brain at the age of 9 when his grandmother taught him how to sew. No, no, he wasn’t forced to do so. He asked her to teach him and while the other kids his age might have laughed at him, he started selling his handmade bowties online.
His grandmother also taught him the importance of always looking presentable. On his website, Moziah wrote the following: “I like to wear bow ties, because they make me look good and feel good.”
Although he had already sold 2 000 bow ties (give or take a few) at the time, it was his appearance on the popular show “Shark Tank” where he met Daymond John, which truly put him on the map. Daymond John took him under his wing and started mentoring him. First order of business was to introduce Mo’s Bows to New York City’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Daymond John saw himself in Moziah and has found himself in a similar situation growing up. In 1989 John, declined an offer of $10 000 for a big chunk of his hat company; many years later, his hat company had grown to a value of $100 million.
It’s no surprise that upon seeing the huge success of Mo’s Bows, greedy businessmen started swooping in hoping to swindle the boy. Of course many underestimate Moziah and with a ruthless mentor such as Daymond John behind him, there’s no stopping him.
Moziah learned that with great success came great responsibility so he decided to make an annual bow tie and use all of the proceeds to help underprivileged kids attend summer camp. Naturally he has inspired many children of his age to believe in their dreams, no matter how big or ridiculous.
Being one of the youngest fashion icons in the world, Moziah hopes to follow in the footsteps of his mentor and have his own clothing line by the time he reaches 20. At the rate he’s going, he is most probably going to reach his goal much sooner than that.
We here at Senator Counsellors applaud and encourage success. Be inspired and become the next big thing, never let debt hold you back.
